Good day peeps! Another day, another blog! Today we were taught on something very interesting! We were exposed to a designing website called Canva ! So, what is Canva? Canva is a website that is created to allow people to create or modify their own design on posters, headers, posts and covers in almost everything! On this website, we can design headers, posters, and posts for our social media, blogs, marketing materials, events, ads and more! We are given a lot of choices on the templates that come from various categories. Besides using the templates provided, we can also upload a picture of our own choice to modify the design of the templates. It has been a hectic and long week again as we were required to complete a lot of task within days and unfortunately, I fell ill along the way which resulted to my absence for this week's class. Good day peeps! I am back! Like always, I will be updating more on what I have learned in the Internet Technologies class. It has been a long week but the Internet Technologies class has always been a fun one 😄 As for this week, we have been taught on the usage of podcasts and digital storytelling in language learning. In this new topic, we learned that podcast is an audio or/and video file that can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device. In language teaching, students can listen to an existing podcast or make one of their own.  To do podcasting, one must have an online voice recorder or a smartphone. After recording, one can download their recording to various podcast medium like the YouTube, iTunes, SoundCloud or Blog. Good day everyone! Another week, another lesson! Internet Technologies class is back with another fun and informative session for us! As for the first class in this third week, we were taught with a new topic entitled Search Engines and Online Database. In this topic, we learned various of new things like what is world wide web, parts of the search engine, and what is the deep web as well as the dark web. We were also exposed to another topic entitled Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) and ESL. As for this topic, we get to learned new things like Asynchronous CMC and Synchronous CMC. We also get to know that in the late 2000s, CMC was implemented for long distance learning which enables the teacher and the learner to interact without being in the same location. For our first class in this second week, we were taught on blog writing. For this topic, we learned that there were several kinds of blogs being used by teachers and students. There are the weblog, tutor blog, class blog, and learner blog. Each blog offers different purpose and use. We were also taught why we used blogs and how to keep the interest going by having our teacher as a facilitator.
